Dr. Marla Weldon brings over 15 years of experience in providing exceptional eye care to patients of all ages. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the University of Alabama Birmingham.

Originally from Middle Tennessee, Dr. Weldon returned home after completing her education to begin her career at a high-volume referral center where she specialized in ocular disease and pre-and post-surgical care. In 2011, she joined Family Vision Care where she continues to serve her community by managing a wide range of eye conditions and providing comprehensive eye exams with a special interest in pediatric eye care and contact lenses. Dr. Weldon is passionate about getting to know her patients personally, taking the time to understand their unique vision needs to deliver the best possible care. Her approach blends clinical expertise with genuine compassion, helping patients feel both informed and comfortable throughout their eye care journey.

Dr. Weldon is an active member of both the American Optometric Association and the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians. Outside the office, Dr. Weldon enjoys reading, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband , Grant, and their two sons, Davis and Dansby.
