Dr. Kelly Short has been part of Family Vision Care since 2019 and enjoys providing eye care for patients of all ages. From routine eye exams and glasses prescriptions to contact lens fittings and monitoring eye health, she takes pride in making each visit comfortable and personalized. She especially loves working with children and helping families feel at ease, combining her background in neuroscience and her training at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN with a warm, approachable style of care.

Originally from Houston, TX, Dr. Short has lived around the world, including graduating high school in The Netherlands and studying abroad in Germany and Australia. She still loves traveling, with favorite adventures including New Zealand, Italy, and the Pacific Northwest. At home, she and her husband—also an optometrist—enjoy long walks with their dog and visiting local breweries. Patients appreciate her friendly personality and attention to detail, which help make eye care a positive and stress-free experience.
